A Bay St. Louis man was arrested and is charged with three counts of sexual battery, Police Chief Tom Burleson said.
Chief Burleson said, “Christopher Burge, 19, 10293 Road 556, Bay St. Louis, was arrested by Detective John Mitchell and charged with three counts of sexual battery. Bay Municipal Court Judge George Lipscomb set Burge’s bond at $150,000.
“Our department received complaints from two mothers on May 12th. Detective John Mitchell began the investigation and, with assistance from Officer Paul Taylor, the arrest of Burge was made the next day,” Burleson said.
The incidents involve three children between six- and ten-years-old, Burleson said.
“All parents need to have a strong relationship with their children and open communications. They need to talk to their children on a regular basis. Whenever parents feel there is an irregular issue, they need to immediately call law enforcement officers,” Chief Burleson emphasized.
