An investigation into a home burglary earlier this month has resulted in two arrests, with one of the suspects also facing drug charges, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said.

Joshua Byron Fort, 31, of Browning Road in Ocean Springs, was arrested Monday at his home. He’s accused of breaking into his neighbor’s home and stealing various electronic equipment, such as laptop computers and cameras, a Wii game console and a television.

As a result of Fort’s arrest, authorities received information that led them to a home on Pelican Bayou Drive in Biloxi. There Jackson deputies and police officers with the Biloxi Street Crimes Unit arrested the second suspect, Richard Wayne Johnson Jr., 25.

Inside Johnson’s home, authorities reported recovering the missing property, some meth and items used to manufacture meth.

Johnson is charged with receiving stolen property in Jackson County, with a hold placed on him for Biloxi authorities on possession of meth and possession with the intent to distribute meth.
