Israel Broussard of Saucier and his family will have a low-key party with family and friends tonight as they watch his first appearance in a television sitcom.

Broussard, 15, has a recurring role in “Romantically Challenged,” an ABC sitcom that debuts at 8:30 p.m. It airs on WLOX after “Dancing With The Stars.”

Broussard portrays Justin, the son of the show’s star, Alyssa Milano, who starred in the series “Charmed.” Milano is Rebecca, a divorced single mom and an attorney. The lead male role is portrayed by Australian actor-comedian Josh Lawson.

Broussard has filmed two shows of six episodes and has a supporting role in a movie to be released in September.

His father, Gil Broussard, said the family will watch the first episode in Woolmarket at the home of friends.

“Very low-key,” Gil Broussard said. “There’s a lot more hoopla surrounded the release of ‘Flipped’ on Sept. 17.”
