Easter morning takes a little extra planning with quadruplets

The Cochrans plan to be at church today in their Easter outfits — Sandra, Matt, Hannah Noelle, 5, and the quadruplets, who are now 19 months old.

There was a time when outings with the whole family might be dubious.

But they happen more and more now. This week they all went to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans with the four-seater stroller, and today, it’s Easter Sunday.

For church, Sandra and Matt make sure the quads are outnumbered by adults so each — Lauren, Avery, Cannon and Gunner — has a lap to sit in.

“We do the balcony,” Sandra Cochran said. “That works.”

“They’re really pretty good,” Matt said. “With the singing and all, they like church.”

Their church is First Baptist in Moss Point.

And being able to attend as a family is an indicator that life with the quads is getting a little easier for Sandra and Matt.

“We’ve been on five dates since they were born,” Sandra said. “And every one of them was at Walmart.”

Schedule and routine is still the best way to make it through a day, Sandra said. Up at 8:30 a.m., feeding, play and naps on schedule, and then bedtime at 7:30 p.m.
