The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast hosts the Southern Miss Jazz & Blues Festival on Saturday on the front lawn of the campus in Long Beach.
The free event features at least five musical acts and an Easter egg hunt for the younger attendees, who also can pose for pictures with the guest bunny.
Food and arts and crafts vendors, as well as children’s activities, will be set up throughout the festival grounds.
Proceeds help the university’s Student Government Association.
In Wiggins the Pine Hill Festival offers additional opportunities for live music, good food and shopping. It features a car show, as does the Cruisin’ for our Future Car and Truck Show at Goldin Park in Gulfport. The park is on Prudie Circle off Three Rivers Road.
