A search continued Thursday for two men who robbed an adult store at gunpoint and shot a customer who was trying to intervene, Police Sgt. Christopher De Back said.

The Adult Video Store at 222 Iberville Drive was robbed around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

A store employee told police the two men entered the store brandishing handguns and demanding cash. A 62-year-old customer, De Back said, suffered a single gunshot wound after he saw what was happening and tried to help an employee.

The shooting victim was taken to Biloxi Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition Thursday.

Biloxi police alerted area law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the two robbers, both black men between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 with average builds. Both wore masks; one had on a gray hoodie and the other a black jacket over a tan hoodie.

“If anybody has any information or any knowledge of this crime, please contact us,” De Back said. “The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.”

To report information, call the Biloxi Police Department’s tip line at 435-6159 or call dispatch at 392-0641. All calls are confidential.
