Keesler completes a massive housing overhaul

Keesler Air Force Base has completed the largest military housing construction project in Air Force history. And later this morning, Air Force brass will celebrate that milestone.

The final key will unlock the last house built during the $287 million housing makeover.

Keesler lost much of its military housing when Hurricane Katrina smashed into Biloxi. Projects like the Bay Ridge housing complex were built to replace what the storm destroyed.

To mark the completion of the new base housing, Keesler will host a dedication ceremony and open house. The festivities start Monday morning at 9:00 am.
