Police: Meth may have sparked Bay St. Louis house fire

Police believe an early morning house fire in Bay St. Louis may have been sparked by a meth lab. The fire at a Texas Street house in the Shoreline Park subdivision was reported at 4:20 Tuesday morning.

According to Bay St. Louis Police, there were six people in the home, and four of the six people were injured.

Claud Asbury, 33, was treated for burns and released. Rebecca Crowe, 26, injured her hip while jumping from a second story window. Marianne Spies and Damon Foy both suffered burns and were taken to a burn center in North Mississippi.

Police said the fire is still under investigation, but they believe someone in the house was cooking meth.
