Biloxi police make parking-lot meth arrest

Police made a meth-related arrest Monday after receiving a tip someone was shaking a bottle containing strange substances in a parking lot at a Popp’s Ferry Road apartment complex.

Police found Paul Lawrence Clark, 37, standing next to a vehicle in the parking lot of Summer Chase Apartments. Officers said Clark was in the initial stages of making methamphetamine by the “shake and bake” method when they arrived and they got a warrant to search his apartment. They found drug paraphernalia inside. Clark was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of precursor chemicals and generation of waste to make a controlled substance.

Clark, who was already on probation, was taken to the Harrison County jail and Justice Court Bruce Strong set his bond at $300,000.
