St. Stanislaus College All-American record-setting quarterback Dylan Favre is piling up the post season awards following the 2009 football season.
Recently, he was named to the Orlando Sentinel’s 91st annual All-South football team as a quarterback. The publication names the top players from Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Geogia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee.
He was joined on the first team by fellow Mississippians Oak Grove wide receiver Steve McNair Jr., South Panola running back Nick Parker, South Panola defensive lineman Devin Clark and West Point wide receiver Michael Carr. Ocean Springs’ linebacker Travis Dickson was an honorable mention selection. Favre was also recently named Mr. Football 2009 by the Clarion Ledger and selected to the publication’s All-Decade team as an athlete.
