VA Homeless Standdown Gulfport the 4th of November:

Gulf Coast Coliseum Grounds, Biloxi, MS

 

A STAND DOWN is a cooperative event between the VA, local veteran organizations, and
other community resources to provide services and information to homeless veterans and/or
families of veterans. These organizations and individuals stand down from normal duties to assist.

 

Services being provided:

 

*Medical Screening & Flu Shots

*VA Benefits Assistance

*Hot Meal

*State Benefits Screening

*Veteran Employment Services

*Hot Showers

*Mental Health Screening

*Clothing, boots, blankets, and other  

*Personal Hygiene Bags

*Dental Screening

 

We will be picking up Veterans who are homeless at the following points on November the 4th to get them to the Standdown event in Gulfport.

If you know of a homeless Veteran on the Gulfcoast who would like to attend this event – could you please contact me and get me a contact site so we can visit them and invite them to join in on this opportunity.

Pickup Points we are responsible for:

6.30 Poplarville in front of the Post Office

7.15 Picayune in front of the Post Office

8.30am Pass Christian at the Marina

8.40am Long Beach Marina

8.50am Boat Launch in Gulfport (near Chiquita)
