Many years ago, I think it was the post office, came out with the two capital letter abbreviation for all states. I read an article recently about “New welcome signs tout musical heritage” for Mississippi. Please, please, I hope the businesses that will make these signs will know that our state is MS and that’s all. No period. I am a Ms., my granddaughters are Miss and as a married woman I would be Mrs. Please don’t make our state look foolish. I saw a road sign on U.S. 90 in Waveland stating Ms. 403 and 603 are this way. We need to do better with our English language.
